Ed Roman does not …
Ed Roman does not build guitars, Adrien is his lead worker luthier. Ed Roman used to build guitars quite a while ago. He now oversee’s and over rates his ER shop work. Ed is currently in the process of having some of his guitars built over seas to meet the price points the consumers demand. Ed is a hypocrite tool. J Frog built the Mr. Scary line prior to meeting Ed Roman. Ed only owns the license to that model and athority to replicate.

Yes, Holdsworth is ridiculous. I have played 25 years and his stuff still blows me away. It is very hard to grasp and even worse to copy..

Navarro is too hard …
Navarro is too hard on himself. He’s got some chops to his playing. He has written some of my favorite riffs too. I met George but not Dave, Dave seems like a genuine and humble person too. Its cool they don’t act like ROCK GODS! Terrible when you meet these people and they are total heads.

Actually Ed Roman is a guitar builder as well as a dealer, his own lines include Abstract guitars, LSR headless guitars, and Quicksilver guitars….his alternative to PRS guitars.

HOLY LIVING !!! …
HOLY LIVING !!! Does he ever own everybody. I think George just means that Allan doesn’t sit and write notated compositions when he writes like a classical composer or Jazz player would. Yeah, Holdsworth obviously knows theory to play the he does!!!

Better check ED ROMAN GUITARS. Lengthy column about this guitar. His company is THE only builder of these guitars. Cherry wood?

the original bones …
the original bones guitar (by j. frog) was broken, george apparently took it outside in the freezing cold after a gig, and apparently it just split down the middle as it was made of cherry wood and mahogany and were jigged together, i only know this because i read an interveiw with george many years ago in a guitar mag.

After looking at that guitar, it IS one of ESP’S crappy copies. The “bones” are just glued onto an ESP body instead of being carved by hand into the body. Huge difference in a side by side comparison. See the real deal on ED ROMANS site

Love that J. Frog Skull n Bones guitar. Yeah, i know it has an ESP logo on the headstock, that is for contractual reasons. ESP did not build that guitar.
